Jake Dietrich

Jake Dietrich is Vice President of Acquisitions & Development for Onyx+East, an award-winning residential developer and homebuilder. At Onyx+East, Jake is a member of the executive leadership team, leading the team responsible for land acquisition, entitlement, and development of projects throughout the Midwest. Jake is also integrally involved in critical areas such product development and investor relations.

Prior to joining Onyx+East, Jake worked for more than decade at Milhaus – a top-ranked, vertically integrated, mixed-use and multi-family real estate and investment firm. Over his career, Jake has led the acquisition, entitlement, and development of over 3,700 multi-family and single-family housing units valued at $1.3B.

Currently, Jake is actively involved in the Urban Land Institute at both the local and national levels, including as a member of the Small Scale Development Product Council – Blue Flight. Jake also serves as Board Chair for the Department of Urban Planning’s Executive Advisory Board at Ball State University. Previously, Jake has held other board positions with organizations focused on community development, real estate, and faith.

Jake graduated cum laude from Ball State University with his Bachelor’s in Urban Planning and Development, and a minor in Real Estate Development. He also earned his Juris Doctor from Indiana University’s Robert H. McKinney School of Law. In 2021, Jake was named the Ball State University College of Architecture and Planning’s Graduate of the Last Decade.

Outside of work, Jake is married with two young children. He and is family live in a historic home in downtown Noblesville, IN and are active members of their church. In his free time, Jake enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, and exercising.
