Ian Schmoyer serves as the President and CEO of Christopher Alan Homes, a nationally ranked builder-owned company driven by strong corporate values that specializes in building high-quality homes at attainable prices. A second-generation builder and developer, Ian has a proven track record of success in the real estate industry.  

Leveraging his experience and in-depth industry knowledge, he launched Christopher Alan Homes in 2017 with a laser focus on building sturdy and comfortable homes at affordable prices. In its first year of business, the company closed more than 110 homes and sold more than 150 homes. The company continues achieving year-over-year growth, now producing over 500 homes each year.

Since its inception, Christopher Alan Homes has grown its annual home closings by 134% and is now the largest privately held homebuilder in the highly competitive Southwest Florida market. The company is ranked fourth among all builders in the region by permitted single-family units and is also ranked as the second largest builder in Cape Coral, which was recognized by Forbes as one of the top five best places to live. Christopher Alan Homes is currently expanding into master-planned communities and is opening two new divisions in Palm Bay and Tampa this year and aspires to be among the largest builders in Florida and beyond.

Under Ian’s leadership, Christopher Alan Homes operates with a people-first approach that is fundamental to its culture and experienced by both employees and customers. He has a holistic approach to serving shareholders, customers, employees, and the community. Ian ensures that the team fully subscribes to the company’s vision and goals, as well as philanthropic activities.  

Ian is currently involved with the Volume Builders Council of the Florida Home Builders Association and the Cape Coral Building Industry Association. Passionate about community support, Ian also supports range of causes, from children’s healthcare and education to veterans’ assistance. He currently serves on the Lee Health Foundation Board of Trustees and is involved with several other local nonprofit organizations, including Behold Israel, Mission 22, and Lee BIA Builders Care.  

A Florida native, he graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a degree in finance. He says his most important roles are as a husband and father.
