A native Houstonian, Harry Masterson is a highly respected real estate leader with deep roots in theHouston community and a career spanning more than three decades. Since 1994, he has built adistinguished track record specializing in large-scale land transactions and Quality PlannedDevelopments (QPDs), earning a reputation for vision, integrity, and the ability to bring complexprojects to life.
Harry is a Managing Principal of EMBER, where he focuses on identifying new business opportunities,cultivating strategic industry relationships, and shaping innovative development concepts by aligningthe right stakeholders around a shared vision. Prior to founding EMBER, he was a principal founder ofboth The Cernus Group and Concourse Companies, leading the successful development of numerouscommunities across the Greater Houston area. In recognition of his contributions to the industry, theGreater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) named him Developer of the Year in 2010.
Harry has long been committed to civic, cultural, and industry leadership. He currently serves asChairman of the West Houston Association, Co-chair of the GHBA HOME-PAC, and a Board Memberof The Orange Show Center for Visionary Arts. He has been an active member of the Rienzi Committeeat the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston’s Center for European Decorative Arts for more than 30 years andcurrently serves on the board of Precinct4Forward in Harris County, TX.
His past leadership roles include President of the GHBA Board of Directors in 2013, Chairman ofScenic Houston, and President of Da Camera of Houston, reflecting a longstanding dedication toshaping Houston’s built environment, cultural institutions, and broader community.
A licensed Texas real estate broker, Harry earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University ofTexas at Austin in 1989. Outside of his professional life, he and his wife, Kathy, enjoy spending time attheir farm with their daughter and twin sons.
