Greg Bennett has deep expertise in all aspects of the homebuilding business as he has dedicated his entire career to building new homes.

He began with a custom home builder, then honed his craft with Colony Homes for 17 years, where he held the position of RegionPresident when the company was purchased by KB Home in 2003. At that time,Colony was closing over 1,250 homes annually in the Atlanta Region andGreg was responsible for land acquisition, land development, marketing, sales, construction, purchasing, closing and customer service. He stayed on with KB Home as Executive Vice President with similar responsibilities for the Atlanta operations.

In 2004, Greg founded his own homebuilding company, GregBennett Homes, which he operated until he joined Smith Douglas Homes in2015 as Chief Operating Officer. He then was appointed to President and Chief Executive Officer in 2019.
