Paul Miller assumed the role of President & COO of American Legend Homes, LLC effective January 1, 2023.  Mr. Miller jointed American Legend Homes in March 2010 and spent 13 years in the role of Chief Financial Officer. American Legend is a privately held luxury production homebuilder with annual home sales in excess of 700 units.  The company currently operates in both the Dallas / Fort Worth and Denver / Northern & Southern Colorado residential marketplace, and has an average home sales price of $700,000.  Mr. Miller’s responsibilities include setting strategies to grow & operate the company while leading a team of professionals who manage all aspects of the homebuilding operation including sales & construction activities, marketing, purchasing, land & lot positions, and the accounting / finance departments.

From April 2002 until his resignation in March 2010, Mr. Miller served as Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer of Bright Truck Leasing, L.P., a privately held transportation company that operated over 2300 trucks and 1000 trailers, primarily throughout Texas.  The company provided full service truck leasing and rental, dedicated contract carriage and used truck sales from 18 Texas locations.  Mr. Miller’s responsibilities included managing the company’s accounting and finance department, legal department, all regulatory aspects associated with the vehicle fleet, and the working capital requirements of the company.

Prior to joining Bright, Mr. Miller was employed by Leather Center Holdings, Inc., a vertically integrated leather furniture manufacturer and retailer located in Dallas, Texas.  After joining the company in 1987, he was promoted to Treasurer in 1991 and Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 1995.  He held this position until his resignation in April 2002.  Mr. Miller’s responsibilities included managing the capital structure; along with, the accounting and financial activities for this privately held leather furniture manufacturer and retailer with 110 retail stores in the Continental U.S.

Mr. Miller has been recognized as one of the nation’s top 300 finance professionals by the Association for Finance Professionals for the years 2005, 2007 and 2008, and he was also a finalist in the inaugural 2008 Dallas Business Journal’s CFO of the year award.

He is a graduate of The University of North Texas receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with concentrations in Accounting and Finance.  Mr. Miller is also a Certified Treasury Professional, and resides in McKinney with his wife, Ashley.
